Very easy to park and good prices

Very well organised shop with best quality FRESH food, love the variety of fruit and veg they have. When I first started shopping from Grocer on the Green I found them to be very welcoming and friendly and that in fact tempted me to apply for a job there. When I worked there I found my Boss to be very fair and considerate who valued my culture and treated me like family. The rest of the team was also very respectful towards me which made it easy for me to work there for 3 whole years and never once I felt any racial discrimination either by staff or any customer. We celebrated each others birthdays, enjoyed having food together, they loved spicy Pakistani food that I sometimes cooked for them ,they always made sure to give me lunch that accommodated my religious requirements. They even let me organise a food event where I promoted Pakistani/Indian cuisine and went that extra mile to help me make the event successful. Overall a very happening place to shop and work at.

I agree with Boss Sayem, I thought I was just being sensitive. I watched to see how others were treated in case it was just down to poor communication skills, but there is sadly a big difference in the way people of colour are spoken to. If it was one isolated event, I would understand, but this has happened so many times that for the sake of my personal dignity, I decided never to return to the shop again. It’s a shame as I like their fruit and veg, but i would rather go elsewhere than put myself through that again.

Has anyone else been treated unfairly because of their race at this shop? Bad customer service doesn’t promote equality of race!!!!

Grocer on the Green provide top quality fresh produce to our shop on a weekly basis and we couldn't be happier, its mostly great value for money and last a long time, any requests we have are answered super quickly and politely. This Christmas we ordered loads of stock, most of it was incredibly heavy and they did everything they could to help us during such a busy time. If you're looking to buy some fresh produce for your shop or simply day to day living I recommend grocer on the green all day long!'
